POSTCARD MARKETING COSTS

What will your next
mailing cost?

Start with the number of people you want to reach. Then account for your plan and any audience data. Here’s how to put the full budget together.

Pricing reviewed October 15, 2026. Check current pricing and your final checkout total before ordering.

The short answer

At standard rates, a 6 × 9 postcard costs $1.30 on Free or $1.00 on Prime, including printing and mailing. Free has no monthly subscription fee. Prime costs $250 per month; postcards are purchased separately. There is no minimum mailing quantity.

Upload your own postal mailing list without a data fee. Custom audience records cost $0.10 per eligible record, per campaign use. Taxes and any applicable additional charges belong in your final budget, too.

Compare the same mailing on both plans

These examples use your own mailing list, standard card rates, and one month of Prime. They exclude taxes and custom audience data.

PostcardsFree totalPrime total
250$325$500
500$650$750
1,000$1,300$1,250
2,000$2,600$2,250

For example, 1,000 postcards on Prime cost $1,000, plus the $250 monthly plan. Using 1,000 custom audience records adds $100, bringing that example to $1,350 before taxes.

No postal list? Start with emails or phone numbers.

Prime can look for associated mailing addresses from an email or US phone list, giving leads another way to notice your business. You can also use map targeting to find an audience in an area you serve.

Matching is not guaranteed for every contact. Data costs $0.10 per eligible matched mailing record, per campaign use. For example, 400 eligible matches add $40 in data fees before postcards, the plan, and taxes. Purchased recipient details stay private and cannot be downloaded.

When does Prime make sense?

The standard card-rate difference is $0.30. If you use your own list, the postage-and-print savings exceed the $250 monthly subscription at 834 postcards in a month. That comparison assumes the same eligible audience and standard rates; it does not include taxes or custom data.

Volume is only part of the choice. Prime also includes map targeting, additional audience tools, and in-house design support. Choose the plan around the tools you need and your expected monthly mailing volume. Campaigns above 10,000 cards qualify for quantity discounts; review the actual quote instead of extending this table.

Budget for the response, too

A postcard is an invitation. Before mailing, make sure the offer’s destination works, your team can answer inquiries, and you can fulfill what you promise. Discounts, staff time, and the cost of delivering your service affect whether the campaign pays off.

Break-even example: a $650 mailing needs five incremental customers contributing $130 each after service and offer costs to cover the mailing. This is planning math, not a predicted response rate.

Make the first campaign easier to evaluate

Choose one audience, one offer, and one response method. Record the full campaign cost and count qualified inquiries, first purchases, and repeat purchases separately. A scan or click is useful feedback; it is not a sale.
